SOCIAL SERVICES SUB-COMMITTEE HELD ON 23RD FEB, 2023
The social services sub-committee met on Thursday 23rd February, 2023 at the municipal Assembly Conference hall, Kade.
The Committee deliberated on several issues and came out with the following recommendations.
G.E.S PLEA FOR OFFICE COMPUTERS
The Municipal Education Directorate complained about the lack of office computers to work with, Officers sometimes rely on personal laptops for official use which doesn’t augur well for the service. The committee recommended that the assembly should support in the provision of computers for the Education Directorate.
INADEQUATE DESKS IN BASIC SCHOOLS
Members deliberated on the shortage of Desks in some basic schools in the Municipality.
The committee noted that, though the Assembly over the years have provided some desks to basic schools, is still inadequate and some schools are still in need. The committees therefore recommend that, the Assembly procure more desks to be distributed to basic schools that are in need.
