REPORT OF THE JUSTICE AND SECURITY SUB-COMMITTEE ON 22ND FEB, 2023
Members of the justice and Security sub-committee met on Wednesday, 22nd February, 2023 in accordance with subsection (1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).
PERSONS OF UNSOUND MIND, A THREAT TO THE MUNICIPALITY
Members noted with concerns the increasing number of persons of unsound mind on the streets of the municipality.
The sub-committee therefore recommended that public education on mental health should be intensified by the Psychiatric Unit of the Kade Government Hospital.
RAMPANT THEFT CASES
The attention of the sub-committee was also drawn on the recent theft cases within the Municipality.
In response, the Kade Police assured members of sanity in the coming days with the cooperation of the general public. Leadership ceased the opportunity to request for additional vehicle to facilitate its work.
The sub-committee then recommended that a delegation be sent to the Head Quarters of the police to make a humble request for an additional vehicle.
