BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

The meeting of the budget committee took place at the Municipal Assembly Hall on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Adopting initiatives for 2024 and discussing the financial performance of 2023 were the key goals.
Mr. Eric Eshun, the Municipal Budget Officer, completed the presentation summary and Joseph Talaki, the Assistance Budget Officer, and then took over for additional explanation.

The presentation was on the, IGF Revenue budget, DACF budget, DACF-RFG budget, MPs Common Fund, and departmental budget respectively.
For the fiscal year 2024, a proposed GH¢1, 617, 743, 00 IGF revenue budget was made available, but after careful consideration, the approved budget for 2024 was changed to

GH¢1,533, 032. 00.

The Assembly's 2024 DACF allocation was GH¢3, 077,660.92. The entire IGF expenditure of GH¢1617, 743, 00 was proposed for consideration for the fiscal year 2024; however, it was modified to GH¢1533, 032.00 in accordance with the IGF revenue budget.

The Assembly 2024 DACF-RFG allocation for 2024 was GH¢723, 541.00. However there were 2023 outstanding projects, amounting to GH¢1,231, 078.67 which were carried over to 2024 and captured in the 2024 composite budget making a total of GH¢1, 954, 619.67
