REPORT OF THE JUSTICE AND SECURITY SUB-COMMITTEE HELD ON THURSDAY, 15^TH JUNE, 2023 AT THE MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HALL, KADE

Members of the justice and Security sub-committee met on Thursday, 15^th june, 2023 in accordance with subsection (1) of section 19 of the Local Governess Act, 2016(Act 936)

EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC ON THE USE OF GUNS

Members of the sub-committee noted with concern the brandishing of unlawful weapons especially guns by some inhabitants within the municipality

After lengthy deliberations, members unanimously agreed to the public education by the police service with the support of the Assembly.

REGULATION OF THE USE OF ACID

Additionally the improper use of acid was drawn to the attention of the sub-committee Members expressed worry and cited cases of its negative impact on the people of Kwaebibirem.

To this end, the sub-committee suggested that the Assembly should ensure the regulation of the use of acid to avoid disastrous occurrences
