JUSTICE AND SECURITY SUB-COMMITTEE HELD ON TUESDAY, 26TH JULY, 2022

REPORT OF THE JUSTICE AND SECURITY SUB-COMMITTEE HELD ON TUESDAY, 26TH JULY, 2022 AT THE MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HALL, KADE

Members of the Justice and Security sub-committee met on Tuesday, 26th July, 2022 in accordance with subsection (1) of section 19 of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).


OPERATION OF VEHICLES THAT LOAD AND UNLOAD PALM OIL

The Sub-committee noted with concern the incessant parking of long vehicles along the road to load and unload palm oil. Members mentioned that such actions posed threat on the road hence recommended that individuals involved in such activities be sensitized on the danger of their acts.


EDUCATION ON PERSONAL SECURITY

The attention of the Sub-Committee was also drawn on the increase in security issues within the municipality. Members alluded to a presentation by an expert on personal security to Honorable Members at the next General Assembly Meeting so as to be able to provide education to their respective electorates.


MIXING OF MORTAR ALONG THE CEMETERY ROAD

The Sub-committee noted with concern the recent happenings which was the mixing of mortar along the cemetery road by bereaved families. Members expressed worry over such acts which could deteriorate the road.

After lengthy deliberation, members recommended that management take necessary action to curtail the situation.


In conclusion, the Sub-Committee outlined the above to be forwarded to the Executive Committee for consideration.
