DEVELOPMENT PLANNING SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING ON 27TH JULY,2023

REPORT FROM THE DEVELOPMENT PLANNING SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING HELD O TUESDAY 27TH JULY-2023 AT THE MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HALL TO THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The following understated recommendations were made from the development planning sub-committee meeting to the Executive Committee for the necessary action to be taken

  • The committee recommends that the sub-committee should visit potential tourist sites (at Otumi, Nkwantanang and Asuom) to select one for further development in other to augment the Assembly’s IGF base and promote the Municipals social visibility and tourism.
  • The committee recommends that the Assembly through the Public Relations and Complaints Committee (PRCC) resolves the impasse between community members and a family over a borehole facility located at Asuom. This is because the family claims compensation was not paid to them for citing the borehole on their land
  • The committee further recommends that a meeting should be held with the contractor on the abandoned construction of a borehole at Nkwantanang to see the best way forward on how the community can complete the project since they are in dire need of the facility
